Day 04 - Something I crave

Easy. Cadbury Mini Eggs. It's a good thing these things aren't around all year because I would weigh 400 pounds. I can't stop eating them at one handful, I eat until I get sick. Awesome. And delicious.

I'd like to also mention that my family's beloved dog, Penny passed away peacefully this morning at my parent's home. She has been really sick since around Christmas time, and her little body couldn't handle the stress on her heart anymore. I was hoping to see her one last time when I move home next month, but I'm glad that she didn't have to suffer too much. It will be very strange going home and not have her run to meet me. When Bryce went home in March, I asked him to take some nice portraits of her since I didn't know how much longer she would be with us. Here are a couple of my favorite shots.Goodbye sweet Penny girl. I miss you already.

Day 03 - A favorite photo

I love this picture for several reasons:
1) It's in Maui
2) It's with my little sister
3) It was such a fantastic vacation
4) I was freaking tan
5) It's in Maui

Day 2

Day 02 - A picture of you last year, and now, and how you've changed since then
This picture was taken last year at Spring Break. Angie and Jordan came to Austin to visit!

Bryce took this picture a month ago during spring break. I don't really think I've changed a ton in the past year. I'm almost done with school forever though! I think I've gotten a tougher skin too. A year ago I almost wanted to quit school but I changed my attitude and decided I would finish. I think I'm better because of that.

Day 1: 5 Things About You That No One Knows

1) As much as I love to play the flute, I HATE practicing. I've learned to become very efficient in my practice sessions because I just hate it. I don't like listening to myself sound bad. I love to perform though, so practicing is inevitable.

2) I pick my lips as a nervous habit. I've done it ever since I was little. Sometimes I do it to the point that my lips bleed, but for some reason I think it feels good.

3) I hate calling people. I don't have a problem calling really close friends or family, but with everyone else I get really nervous and anxious when I have to do it. I don't answer the phone if it's a number I don't recognize. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

4) I'm REALLY competitive. I hate losing. When I play games, I tend to get really mad if I'm doing poorly. Once when Bryce and I were engaged, we were playing a game of scrabble and I lost pretty bad. I got so mad that I flipped over the board and threw the tiles. In case you are wondering, yes I am 5 years old.

5) I don't like my birthday. I've never made a big deal out of my birthday and I always seem to have fairly good days, but nothing spectacular. I don't really like being the center of attention, I like floating around in a crowd.

That's it for today! Let's see how long I last keeping up with this...

Since U Been Gone

Bryce has been in Utah for over a week doing some photoshoots so almost every night, I have watched a movie. Most of them were girly movies that I didn't think I could get him to watch with me. Here's what I watched:

Remember Me
The Young Victoria
The Princess and the Frog
Charlie St. Cloud
An Affair to Remember
Some Like it Hot
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

The only one that I didn't love was Remember Me. The plot was pretty slow and Robert Pattinson is angsty and depressed most of the movie. I prefer him sparkling. I need to add some movies to my Netflix queue now, any suggestions?

Run, Forrest, Run!!

A LOT (not to be confused with alot) has happened since my last post. We had quite the big snowstorm in Austin (aka 1/2 inch of snow) that closed down the entire city. Schools were canceled and roads were terrible! I was pretty grateful to have a day off from school. I can only remember one time in my life growing up in Utah that school was canceled because of snow. Everyone freaks out here, it's pretty funny. Along with the freezing temperatures, we had frozen pipes in our apartment! So fun! I woke up one morning with a dome of ice in the bathtub drain so that I couldn't take a shower. Our kitchen sink and dishwasher wouldn't drain either so that was fun... Thank goodness for good friends who let us shower at their place until we had working pipes again. Our drains were clogged for a good five days.

School has been going fine. This past week was full of the first concerts of the semester. I'm taking a class about human learning and behavior which is pretty interesting but it's a lot more work than I was hoping for my last semester of school. Oh well. I'm learning a lot and I hope to be a better teacher because of this class.

Today Bryce completed his first marathon! He did great! I thought he was crazy when he signed up for it, especially considering that he'd never run more than 3 miles in his life as of last June. He finished in 3 hours and 54 minutes which was slower than he was hoping, but he didn't walk once during the race! Pretty impressive if you ask me. I'm very proud of him. Here's some pics of him during the race.

At 15 miles. Lookin good!

Around mile 22. Almost done!

All done! He did it!
